The right screen changes everything
We have an assortment of monitors available to buy on our eBay shop, from everyday office displays to bigger screens. Here's what the numbers in the listings mean.
Monitor jargon, decoded
Size, resolution, panel, refresh rate: the four specs worth understanding.
Size
22 to 24 inches suits most desks. At 27 inches you can comfortably put two windows side by side.
Resolution
1080p (Full HD) looks sharp up to 24 inches. At 27 inches, 1440p (QHD) is noticeably crisper.
Panel type
IPS has the best colours and viewing angles. VA has deeper blacks. TN is quick but washes out at an angle.
Refresh rate
60Hz is fine for office work. 144Hz and up makes games and scrolling feel far smoother.
